A VSA extends the terms of your original manufacturer's comprehensive warranty that you receive under the first 3 years or 36,000 miles on the vehicle. By having a VSA, those same terms are available until your vehicle reaches 8 years old or 125,000 miles. The only VSA that Toyota-Scion of Newport sells is a Toyota authorized agreement, which is accepted anywhere in the United States - so it would still be useful for you, even if you move out of the area. Like the original manufacturer's warranty, a VSA covers major components of the vehicle, but not wearable items, such as brakes, oil changes, etc.  A VSA is an excellent value because in the event you have any issues with an alternator, steering rack, transmission, computer system, a/c compressor, and other large items on your vehicle, it will be covered at no additional cost to you, up to 8 years or 125,000 miles. These repairs can easily add up to several thousands of dollars!
