Toyota-Scion of Newport Community Involvement St. Joseph's Soup Kitchen December 22, 2009 Toyota-Scion of Newport and Hyundai of Newport held our annual food drive for the St. Joseph's Soup Kitchen and food pantry in Newport. Throughout the month of December, items were collecting in a Tacoma in the Toyota-Scion of Newport showroom, and in a Santa Fe at Hyundai of Newport. All donated items were given to the pantry on December 22. | Jamestown ClassicOctober 12, 2009 The 34th Annual Jamestown Classic was held on Columbus Day. Hundreds of racers came from across the United States to compete. Toyota-Scion of Newport has been a proud sponsor of this event in support of the Jamestown Rotary Club. | OktoberfestColumbus Day Weekend The annual Oktoberfest took place at the Newport Yachting Center during Columbus Day Weekend. Toyota-Scion of Newport was on hand for the festivities to display the latest Toyota and Scion models, as well as promoting the concept of, "Trink in Maszen," or responsible drinking. | Family Day at Fort Adams
June 6, 2009 Toyota-Scion of Newport was a happy participant in Family Day held at Fort Adams in Newport. Family Day featured plenty of food and fun, including a demonstration of a twelve foot robot, balloon animals and face painting, and an interactive display held by the US Coast Guard. Toyota-Scion of Newport gave away gifts and prizes, and demonstrated the Toyota Prius Hybrid to the hundreds of people that attended. | Soap Box Derby Race May 9, 2009 Toyota-Scion of Newport is a proud sponsor of the All American Soap Box Derby Race, held each spring at First Beach in Newport. Pictured is owner, Paul Mika, and Toyota-Scion of Newport's driver for this year, Cameron. |  35 Grand in the Sand July 12, 2008 Toyota-Scion of Newport, along with 95.5 WBRU and other local sponsors hosted the 35 Grand in the Sand contest, which concluded at the beachfront near the Atlantic Beach Club in Newport, RI. Participants were able to participate in a number of games and win numerous prizes on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Outside of all the fun and games, the biggest attention getter was a new Scion tC that was customized by Toyota-Scion of Newport. |
